A couple months ago Ron's family came up and we went to the Elk Refuge in Jackson. It was a lot of fun. I didn't get many pictures because someone got too excited and sat on my camera and broke it. I wont mention any names...(Ronnie)so here is what I have.

I cant believe Brody is already a year old. This kid knows how to frustrate the crap out of you one minute and the next minute he'll steal your heart but we sure love him and love the stage he is at right now. Here are a lot of pics (as requested by family).

Brod turned 8 months old already! Where has the time gone? He is crawling everywhere and spents most of his time heading straight for the stairs. He is contantly trying to get things he can't have. The other night we caught him crawling after a spider...
definitely NOT my kid.

And finally, We got to see the X-mas tree that is going in the whitehouse. They took it off the Tetons and were trucking it back to D.C. making a few stops along the way. They just so happened to stop in Piney so we were able to go to the presentation. The schools here made and donated over 17,000 decorations for the tree. They said the tree alone stands taller than 2 telephone poles high and weighs more than 5 elephants.

Brody is 6 months old! It's crazy how fast time has gone. He is getting to be so fun and has such a cute personality. However, we have had a few rough nights lately which is not like him so it is really starting to frustrate us since we like our sleep around here. I keep telling myself he is just teething and that it will all be over soon, otherwise this kid is for sale. Any takers?

Aside from the sleepless nights, he really is so fun. He is definitely his fathers son and LOVES to be outside. He gets so caught up in the moment he doesn't even know I exist.
We were outside the other day and I was trying to get some pics of him but he wanted nothing to do with it. I was finally able to get ONE picture of him looking at the camera and as you can see he was not happy.

If that's not the look of death, I don't know what is.

We finally had a free weekend and were able to go up the mountain and enjoy the fall leaves.

I think me and Brody sat in the truck for an hour while Ron glassed in hopes of finding a big buck. We had to entertain ourselves somehow so we captured dad doing what he loves most.

The Big Move

It's official, we now live in Wyoming. Moving is probably the worst thing EVER. I think its safe to say that everybody was ready to kill me by the time it was all said and done. But with the help of our family we survived.

There's not a whole lot in Wyoming. Actually I take that back, there's a lot of sage brush. We are staying in Kemmerer right now and I actually quite like this town. I really like the people here, they are extremly nice.

The housing here is ridiculous though. There are very few places to rent and whatever is available is expensive. So we are taking what we can get.

WE'RE MOVING!!!

I never thought I'd see the day that we'd move, let alone move outside of Utah. And whether I like it or not, that day has come. Ronnie got a job working with Questar Gas so we are moving to Big Piney, Wyoming. Also known as the "Ice Box" of the nation. I absolutely hate snow and hate the cold even more and of course, we are getting there just in time for winter.

Now, Meet our newest friend. His name is Edward, but we call him "Eddie" for short.

This is the creeper that stole our car. Its not a very good pic but I couldnt get it to upload any other way. They found him in texas a couple of weeks ago so we got the pleasure of flying out there and making the 17 hour drive BACK to Utah. I'd like to say we made a vacation out of it but we didn't. It wasn't a good time at all. Matter of fact, we almost wish they would never have even found the car. He trashed the crap out of it and was literally living in it. I didn't think it was possible that someone could honestly be as filthy as he was. He sold EVERYTHING. There wasn't one thing of ours left in it. However, we got away with all his stuff. We have his can opener, a fork,a grody toothbrush, some left over food, a tank top and a pair of shorts, we have one dirty sock (not sure where the other one ended up), a towel, and a few other things. If anyone wants any of these items we are willing to sell them at a discounted price. But Hurry, they wont last long!!! :)

A not so good 4th of July

Well, I have never been more excited to have a Holiday weekend come to an end. I have decided that for us, the 4th of July gets worse and worse every year. What used to be one of my favorite holidays has officially become my least favorite and we are already dreading next year for fear of what it might bring.

Our first 4th of July together was a good one that is, until we started heading home. It was late at night and we were hurrying back so we could get in a couple of hours of sleep since we had to work the next day. We ended up hitting a rabbit but didnt think anything of it until my car started over heating and died on us in the middle of nowhere. We had no cell service or anything. We sat there forever trying to figure out what to do and waited for someone to find us. Finally, we ended up catching a ride with some people we knew but had to lay in the bed of their truck because there was no room in the cab. It was awful, we were freezing and the dog back there had pee'd and we were trying to dodge the pee. Long story short, it was a long night, we had to get my brother's car and then go back and get mine and drive it slowly back to Cedar, stopping every few miles to pour water in it and in the end we got NO sleep. Then to top it all off, the stupid rabbit did more damage than we thought and it was a good chunk of change getting the car fixed. Luckily, we are now able to look back on it and laugh, but at the time it was NOT fun!

The next year, one of my best friends passed away and his funeral was on the weekend of the 4th. Again, not fun.

And this year definitely didn't get any better, believe it or not. We pretty much got everything we own stolen. We didn't have big plans for the 4th, which is rare because as you all know, Delta is by far the funnest place to be on the 4th. I was feeling bad that we weren't doing anything for Brody's first 4th of July so we decided to go swimming with Ron's family down at Quail Lake. We had so much fun just hanging out and catching some sun until we discovered our car was gone. In the 2 hours that we spent in the lake our car, wallets, purse, drivers licenses, keys,car seat and stroller, debit/credit cards, EVERYTHING got stolen. Our car was locked but they broke in and took off. It seriously takes a heartless person to steal a car with a carseat in the back. Who leaves someone stranded with a 4 month old baby?? Good thing the in laws were there because otherwise it would not have been pretty. There would have been some major profanity goin on. After dealing with the cop and coming to the realization that this really did happen, we were able to leave. We are grateful that Colby was around to come get us and let us use Hayden's car seat to get Brody home. Once we got home, we realized we didn't have any keys and ended up having to break into our own house. It was a pretty crappy weekend to say the least. I don't imagine we'll ever be able to look back on this year and laugh.

Although it wasn't a fun weekend, we tried to stay busy to keep our minds off everything. We took Brody fishing and swimming for the first time, and just hung out with family all weekend. I will post pics later, and I think from here on out, we will just stay home for the 4th.

3 Months!!

That's right, Brody is 3 months old already. It seems like just yesterday we were at the hospital waiting to meet our little guy. Time sure goes by quicker when you aren't pregnant.

I finally feel like we have gotten back into the swing of things even though I thought this day would never come. My mom came and stayed with us for a few days after I had Brody and I cried when she left because I thought we would never survive alone. But, we are slowly figuring things out and love being parents. It's definitely been the best decision we've ever made.

He is getting so big and fun and is such a good natured baby. In Ronnie's words "he is such a stud."

A few things about Brod at 3 months:

* He doesn't really like his binki but LOVES to go to town on his little hand. He literally smacks on his fist. (luckily he hasnt found his thumb)
*Loves to be talked to and is in heaven if you play with his arms and legs.
*He has to be sitting or standing up and he'll be content forever-He fusses if you try to hold him like a baby.
*He loves to just lay and kick while watching TV.
*He LOVES his swing. We can't get him to giggle, but he'll giggle when he is in his swing for some reason. He just stares at the bar and giggles. Kinda weird, but cute.
*He thinks he's a big boy and tries to hold his own bottle sometimes.
*His hands have to constantly be moving. They are very busy, but it's fun to watch him figure things out.
*And he's just a happy baby all the time. He has the cutest smile and the cutest little dimples. However, he takes after his dad and stops smiling when the camera comes out.

Well our little guy isn't so little anymore. He has put on some serious weight since my last post! He is finally chunking out and getting to be so fun. He's such a happy baby and loves to be talked to. Ronnie and I are having so much fun loving him and watching him grow.

We blessed him on May 2nd and Ron did such a good job with the blessing, it was such a special day. Brody looked so cute in his little tux. Unfortunately, there was so much going on that I didn't get many pics.

Brody was born March 15, 2010 at 12:50 PM. He weighed 6 lbs 5 oz. and looks just like his daddy! I cant believe he is already 2 1/2 weeks old, he is getting so big but we sure love this

little guy.

Boy or Girl?!?

Well for those of you that dont know.......Its a BOY and we couldnt be more excited! Its still so crazy to think that we are going to be parents but he's comin whether we're ready or not!

Ronnie is absolutely thrilled!! He hasn't quit smiling since we found out. Its SO cute, he will be a great dad. As for me, I think I am still in shock, I thought for sure we were getting a girl but I couldn't be happier!

It was so fun to see the little guy rolling around in there. He wouldn't stop moving so I am afraid we are going to have our hands full in a few months.

And in case anyone is wondering if we have thought of any names, NO! I don't think we will ever come to an agreement on a boy name but I guess we still have a while to battle it out :)

A Lot Has Happened!

Wow, alot has happened since the last time I posted! Things have been so crazy I haven't had anytime to update.

We celebrated our 1 year anniversary in May, finally bought a place to call our own, got all moved in (but still have not decorated), Tyson got married, Ronnie played in as many softball tournaments as possible which took up most of our summer. We were able to fit a camping trip in, went to lagoon and seven peaks and had a blast, now I'm back in school and things are as busy as ever. Ronnie is working out of town a lot which has its ups and downs. I am able to get some studying done when he is gone, but its also very quiet around the house and I tend to get a little bored.

That pretty much sums it up.

oh and I'm pregnant, but I think everybody pretty much knows by now, word got around surprisingly fast. I am now 12 1/2 weeks along and doing good. I think I am still in shock but Ronnie is very excited and cute about it all. We cant wait. I am due March 16th. This whole pregnancy is just flying by, it will be here before we know it. I will try and be better at updating now that we finally have something interesting going on it our lives.

*Who eats more sweets? I think everyone knows the answer to this one...I eat the sweets. If Ronnie would let me I would eat ice cream every single day. I've stopped taking him shopping with me because he got to the point where he wouldn't let me buy any treats
*Who said I love you first? This is a tough one, there's a story behind it... I guessI came out and said it, but he brought it up
*Who is taller? Ron-dog is
*Who can sing best? again, Ronnie is. He is actually really good, gets it from his mom
*Who is smarter? Definitely Ronnie. He is super good with numbers
*Who does laundry? We usually both do but I absolutely hate to do laundry, so he is really good to jump right in. He hates to do dishes so I always do those to make up for it :)

We tried to switch one night and neither of us could sleep.( he actually told me when we first got married that he wanted me to sleep closest to the door because if a burgler breaks in they will get me first since I am closer...and that's where I've slept ever since) Isn't he sweet...
*Who mows the lawn? Neither, but I LOVE to mow lawns, so when we have a house I will definitely help out there
*Who cooks dinner? I always do. I learned very quickly that I should just stick to the cooking..the one time Ronnie cooked he made elk sausage
*Who drives? Ronnie. I think I have driven twice the whole time we've been married. He doesn't like my driving.
*Who is first to admit they are wrong? Well we are both really stubborn but I am usually the one to break down and admit I am wrong or to say sorry
*Who kissed who first? umm, (Ronnie will disagree) but I am going to go a head and say he did :) again, there is a story behind this one too.
*Who asked who out first? He asked me. He was trying to be sneaky and told me he wanted to check out the tint on my car because he was looking into tinting the windows of his truck. (He never did look at the tint)

An Update Finally

I am finally updating our blog (Thanks Jenny for the reminder) you know its bad when someone else has to point out that it needs attention ;)

I sometimes think if we had kids this thing would be a little more interesting, but until then, I will just work with what we have
I decided I better post some new pictures before school starts up again. Here are some pictures of whats been going on....

Ronnie finally got his elk mount that he's been patiently waiting for, for over a year. It is a lot bigger in person. And yes, I get the "opportunity" to hang this in my house when I have one.
